Anyone looking to get professional photos done in the greater St. George area of Utah MUST check out Snow Canyon State Park. Yes, it's a great spot for hiking, but there are also so many locations scattered throughout the main road running through the park, where you can just pull up and park your car and take photos without any hiking involved.
The park is open from 6am to 10pm, so whether you want to do a sunrise or sunset session, you'll be good to go. My clients and I opted for a sunset session, which provided us backlighting in the direction of the spots we chose, rather than direct sun (good move on our part). Also, dogs are allowed, but for your session, I recommend having a friend come along to care for the dog, so you don't have to have the distraction of it during the dog-less photos.
To give us some variety in the looks/backgrounds of our photos, we chose to shoot at (in order) the Sand Dunes, Petrified Dunes, and the Lava Flow Overlook.
